Renaissance Styles
A
Workshop for the Feminine Spirit
Sunday, September 28, from
8:30
to Noon
(spend the rest of the day in the Faire)
Imagine yourself in
Elizabeth’s time!
What did it mean to be a proper Elizabethan woman? Learn about lifestyles,
respect, and language that framed choices of clothing, jewelry, hair
coverings, decorations, and shoes that girls and women wore. See what noble
women must wear and imagine feeling and looking elegant! Just how did women
kept their hair secure without hair pins and elastics? What to do about all
the odors in the village and on bodies that were washed once or twice a
year? Choose to have your hair braided, make a flower hair-piece, decorate a
straw hat (your own or one you buy at the Faire), or make an accessory in
the style of the times.

Group is limited to 15 students. Fee of $85.00 (or $65 for season/weekend
pass holders) includes 3 ½-hour workshop, materials/services, admission to
the Faire for the day, and a $10.00 coupon for lunch. (Add $50 for each
additional family member.)
Full payment for the is required by September 19 to
guarantee your space and supplies!
