  - Laughter, Steel and Sex Appeal!


  The triumphant return of one the hottest comedies in Renaissance Faire History.  After a 10 year absence creator Michael Cawelti  brings back this merry spectacle exclusively for the Northern California Renaissance Faire.  The show features a dashing new cast and even more spectacular swordplay!  You won’t want to miss this silly, swashbuckling, testosterone-fueled romp, where the audience gets into the act, and the laughs are non-stop!

The Living Chess Match

  The Sinister Black King has challenged the White King once again. The Black King and his entourage have come to win --- but there is more to this game than meets the eye. The Chess Board is the stage, the villagers are the pieces. Come sit and enjoy the game in the style of theatre in the round.

Commedia Volante

  The very roots of Renaissance Theatre come to life through the colorful and hilarious form of Commedia Del Arte’ This modest band of barmy mirthful pranksters captivate the audience with a unique design of provocative improvisational Italian comedy.  See the classic characters and scenarios that set the foundation for generations of sketch comedy.

Serenata
  Experience the beautiful music and traditional dances of the exotic Serenata. The musical cast of Commedia Volante celebrates the release of their first album with a special 4:15 showing daily.

The Queen's Royal Reception

  All the pomp and pageantry of a visit from Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth comes to the stage in a spectacle not to be missed. See the Queen reunite with the most revered Privateer and Explorer of the time, Sir Francis Drake. Watch the dashing Sir Walter Raleigh charm the lovely courtiers and enjoy the battle of wits and crossing of swords that’s bound to occur.

The Lord Mayors Show

  The good people of Willingtown prepare for The Queen's arrival.  What entertainment shall they prepare for her pleasure? Who are these two strangers from London, and what are they doing in Willingtown? Mayhem ensues when the former mayor throws a twist in the plot!

The Fools Stage





 


MooNiE the Magnif'Cent
  Comedy to be seen and barely heard, Moonie brings an indescribable style of showmanship rare to be found. Follow MooNiE into a world where what appears to be, becomes apparently what it was meant to be. Though maybe not! Fire on a tightrope ends a show jammed with tricks of all kind. MooNiE always packs the house and leaves the audience wanting more. Check the schedule and get there early. The seating fills up quickly.

BRooN

  With a wit drier than the Sahara BRooN will leave you smirking and giggling throughout the day. It's been concluded for some time that BRooN doesn't eat fire to impress the crowds, he just likes the taste of the kerosene. A regular headliner on the national faire circuit, BRooN is a crowd favorite. Recommended attire: straight jackets

Dirty Laundry

  Wet dirty women and good clean fun is what this show is all about.
These hilarious and lively wenches are here to teach the unsuspecting a thing or two about cleaning up their acts and how to dish dirt with the best of them.

The Merry Wives of Windsor

  The Merry Wives of Windsor's distinctive tight-harmony sound is surpassed only by their comic charm and lively, engaging performance style. Join these singing serving wenches of Windsor's Tavern as they sing about their favorite subjects, beer and men!"

The Van Kleaver Brothers

  Straight from Holland come the two greatest chefs of all time.  Using cleavers and carrots, accuracy and idiocy, they demonstrate the destruction of edible targets as blades fly. Their dazzling, delicious, display of fearless comedy has left crowds wild and satiated around the globe. If you like danger or just hate vegetables you’re going to love this show.

Pye Powder Court

  The longest running show on the Renaisssance Faire circuit. The Mongers Guild brings the bawdiest and most outrageous court of all time to the stage once a day. Peasants, Puritans and sinners alike come together and demand JUSTICE!

This show is rated NC17 and is NOT suitable for children.

 





The Port o' Call Stage







Siamsa La Cheile

  These lively lads and lasses will capture your hearts with their traditional Celtic dancing and music. These dances which have grown in popularity in recent years and are performed in their original style and costuming.

This is a a great show for the whole family. Performing 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30 daily.









Pipe And Bowl Morris and Country Dancers
  Keeping alive the roots of Renaissance culture, The Pipe and Bowl Dancers take to the stage and the streets performing classic Morris Dances with bells and scarves along with  traditional English country dancing as well. They are always happy to teach a dance for those that wish to learn.

Suspended Reality

  Open your mind and enter the imagination of Shakespeare as his Faerie Queen, Titania dances gracefully through the sky with her mischievous mate, Oberon. Utilizing hoops and ribbons this graceful demonstration of aerial ballet will amaze those who dream of flying.

The Romany Camp Stage





 



Silk Road Caravan Dancers

  Come relax at Jazla’s Coffeehouse and enjoy the variety of lovely Gypsy tribal dancers in a relaxed atmosphere. Different dancers drop in daily to join in the fun.

Performances 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00 daily.







 



The Naughty Minstrels

  Join your favorite Poets and Minstrels: Kit Marlowe, Ben Jonson, Thomas Kyd, James Burbage and more as they share lyrical tales of romance, adventure and gold!  These colorful poets and players present a surprised filled romp of bawdy music and wit-filled comedy that is guaranteed to have you laughing, clapping, and singing along.

The Unruly Fools

  This duo of fools claims to know how to juggle or something to that affect. Don’t sit too close as the knives are sharper than their wit. Bowling balls and other various objects are all game for a good tossing by this crazy couple. Performing on a bigger stage this year due to their popularity, ( or more room for flying objects ) Seating fills up so get there early.

Two Players of Verona

  Two players, alike in dignity, or lack there of, invite the audience to direct them in the Shakespearean play of their choice. Portraying all the roles is no mean trick. Only a fool, or two, would attempt such a feat. Get involved and have some fun with this delirious duo.

Mezmeron

  Guests of Willington will find themselves mystified and mesmerized by the magical, hypnotic powers of the Queen's newest amusement - Mezmeron.

Mezmeron appears at the Queen's royal command to tease and please faire revelers. You may find yourself in a precarious yet hilarious position when you succumb to the powers of Mezmeron!

Performances daily at 1:00 and 3:30

 





Fowl Tales

  Bob Bartley and his feathered friend Gypsy bring colorful tales of sea travel, tricks, And “A bit with a dog” for the delight of audiences of all ages.

Performances 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00 daily.

 





Teatro de Espana
The Legacy of Don Quixote


  Living in his old Farmhouse with his wife, It has been many years since Sancho Panza has been on a quest with Don Quixote. Now old himself, Sancho is visited by the Ghost of Don Quixote. Presented in English and Spanish.

Odd's Bodkins

  Odd’s Bodkin is Kenny Klein on fiddle, guitar and vocals; Anna Klein on bass and vocals; and Rosalyn Mitchell on flute, mandolin and vocals. Odd’s Bodkin plays Celtic songs, Pirate songs, Irish fiddle tunes, Gypsy songs, and songs of lost love. At times eerie, at times somber, and at times wacky, Odd’s Bodkin is always entertaining.

The Sea Dogs
  What do you do with a drunken sailor? These legendary masters of maritime music answer that age old question in song. Fill your tankard at the Rusty Cutlass and come and sing along.

Some deem them pirates and some call them sailors, we just call them fun.

Blame it on Eve.

  This naughty-and-nice a cappella trio -- blonde, brunette and redhead-- philosophizes about life, love, beer and men... and not necessarily in that order!  Their repertoire with its unique harmonies ranges from heady drinking songs to haunting ballads..

The Piccolo Puppet Players
  present the beloved classic "The Punch & Judy show" Their lively antics will delight and amuse children of all ages. Don’t miss this well crafted twenty five minutes worth of lively entertainment.

The Kondor Brothers

  These young lads will charm and surprise you with their skill and daring. At the request of Her Royal Majesty, the duo delights revelers with masterful juggling. Appearing throughout the village and on The Curtain Call Stage
